“Amplify Songs of Justice” Produced by the Kentucky Opera

The Kentucky Opera Amplify: Songs of Justice is presented in collaboration with Metro Louisville’s Juneteenth Jubilee Commission.
As part of Louisville’s official city-wide Juneteenth Jubilee Celebration, Kentucky Opera’s Third Annual “Amplify Songs of Justice” is an evening of inspiring music, art and spoken word commemorating this important date in American History.
Local Artists raise thieir voices to sing and celebrate freedom with performances onoring Black musical traditions.
This concert features Songs of Justice, 5 Civil Rights songs commissioned by Kentucky Opera in 2020, composed by Jorell Williams to lyrics written by Dr. Paula McCraney.
Doors open at 6 pm; concert begins at 7 pm.
